125 crude bombs found in Kannur, Kerala

KANNUR: Police on Thursday unearthed 125 powerful crude bombs from a vacant plot at north Poilur, about 45km from here, in this politically
sensitive district. ( Watch )
The bombs, kept in four gunny bags, were found concealed in a bush at Maliyad Kunnu under the Kolavalloor police station limits by a raiding police party led by Thalassery DySP Prakashan, a senior police official said. Top police officials have rushed to the spot.
Police had intensified raids in the area following the death of two RSS activists in a bomb explosion at nearby Cheruvanchery on Nov 10 as the youth were suspected to have been engaged in either making or shifting the crude bombs.
A day after the death of RSS men on Monday last, Police had recovered 18 crude bombs from a private plot, some 100 metres away from the site of the powerful explosion.

PARLIAMENT MARCH FOR MUSLIM RESERVATION

Delhi: Popular Front of India took out a Parliament March on Monday 15 March 2010 to press the demand for reservation to Muslims in Central Government services and in admission to educational institutions . The March started from Madya House area at 11 am. The participants carried banners and placards calling for equal justice to Muslims. They raised slogans that Muslims are not asking for any favour, but demanding a constitutional right. They asked if Sachar Committee proved that Muslims are most backward, why the reservation is denied only to Muslims. The March was stopped by police at Jantar Mantar where the protesters listened to leaders. Popular Front of India chairman E. M. Abdul Rahiman delivered the key note speech.
