Popular Front of India distributed Eidkits on the eve of Eid-ul-FITR in the district, as it is
the yearly routine and the way of celebration of the Popular Front of India cadres to celebrate
Eidulfitr with the poor and needy people; in all over India the Popular Front of India has been
distributing Eidkits as a gesture of good will to the poor and needy Muslims so that they too celebrate
the Eidulfitr with same joy and enthusiasm as that of high and middle class Muslims.
The Gulbarga branch of the Popular Front of India started its fitra collection campaign as
soon as the Holy Month of RAMAZAN began. this fitra collection was in 2 ways first almost all members of
the Popular Front of India donated their fitra , then a door to door collection and referential
collection was done to collect fitra , after collection of the fitra the cadres of Popular Front of
India then surveyed the people who were actually needy of the fitra , instead relying of appearance, the
PFI leadership sent its cadres to check whether all who are being supported are needy or not, therefore
after this, the work of making eidkits was started .
Last year PFI has provided some ~300 eidkits, and this year ALHAMDULILLAH the target was
doubled and we reached ~600 eidkits, the main programs of eidkits distribution was held at Gulbarga
district office, as well as in Jamia MASJID Function Hall in Shahabad. Whereas door to door and
reference method was adopted in Gulbarga, Gogi, Shahpur.
The number of eidkits provided in Shahabad 230, Gulbarga 170+, Gogi ~90, Shahpur ~50, the cost of these
kits varied from 350 to 250 but average cost of one eidkit was around 300 in the whole district ,
The various people present while the programs were PFI district council, SDPI DISTRICT council, AIIMC
members, and other eminent local peoples.
The program at Gulbarga dist office was headed by District President of PFI, SYED ZAKIR himself, whereas
dist secy managed the program of door to door distribution and program at shah bazaar, the Shahabad
program was managed by the district council members and shahbad cirle leaders of PFI, the SDPI district
leaders also attended the gathering ,
The circles like Gogi and Shahpur mainly adopted the door to door distribution system, the
circle leaders of PFI managed the program,
The ingredients of the EIDKITS consisted of RICE, OIL, SUGAR, DRY FRUITS, SEVIYAN, GHEE, etc
.
