Gulbarga, Puttur to host Freedom Parade

Puttur: Elyas Muhammad Thumbe, state president of Popular Front of India, Karnataka has said that his organization will hold Freedom Parade at Gulbarga and Puttur on 15th August 2011 to celebrate Independence Day. He was briefing media persons at a press conference held at Puttur on 28th July 2011.
“Every year Popular Front of India celebrates the Indian Independence Day and accordingly this year also the program is scheduled for Monday, 15th August 2011. This year we will celebrate Independence Day in a grand manner by conducting a Freedom Parade at Gulbarga and Puttur” he said.
“The objective of conducting Freedom Parade is to commemorate the sacrifice and hardships of the freedom fighters for the sake of the freedom of our nation. The discipline exhibited and the enthusiasm demonstrated in Freedom Parade will inculcate the spirit of freedom in the people. Freedom Parade under the theme of “BE THE SENTINELS OF FREEDOM” will aim at creating awareness about the value of freedom in the minds of people”, he added.
He said Popular Front of India is the voice of the minorities, downtrodden, backward and marginalized sections of society which strives against communalism, terrorism and violation of human rights. The organization is working hard for the total empowerment of the above communities and trying hard to bring them back into the national mainstream.
Shareef Kodaje, secretary, Popular Front of India, Karnataka, Muhammad Haneef, secretary, Popular Front of India, Mangalore Zone, K.A.Siddiq, president, Popular Front of India, Puttur district were present on the occasion.
